White Pepper, All-Natural, From Jordan

White pepper comes from the pepper berries that are fully ripe. Once picked, the berries are soaked to ferment. The outer layer is peeled which removes the piperine resulting in a milder pepper. Using white pepper creates a visual appeal for light-colored dishes and sauces. Some consider it more earthy and the flavor more complex because it has ripened longer.
