Shipping policy
In an attempt to use the most economical method if shipping that supports the US Postal Service, we ship USPS. The majority of our shipments go Priority Mail in order to arrive to customers as quickly as possible. However, the mail system is a little slow, so even those items that are shipped US Priority, may not arrive in two-three days. (We have experience with this!)
We don't qualify for huge shipping discounts like that smiling Goliath online retailer (you know the one), so we pay pretty much what the consumer pays. The rate is calculated by the system and is generally the flat rate for a priority envelope or box and/or based on total shipping weight and destination zip code. Shipments are only made within the 50 United States and the District of Columbia.
Refunds cannot be given for shipments once it leaves our facility for the following reasons: (1) an incorrect or incomplete shipping address; (2) delays caused during major holidays; (3) weather-related delivery issues; (4) problems beyond our control, force majeure; and (5) items which have become unusable due to failure to follow instructions marked on the packaging by the recipient.
All packages shipped USPS are designated with a “shippers release” so that a signature is not required for delivery. However, it is up to the discretion of the USPS delivery person whether to leave the package or not. Thus, we highly recommend that customers track packages and that someone be available to accept the shipment, particularly if the shipping location is an apartment complex or office building.
We cannot be held responsible for packages left at an address when someone is out-of-town. Please make sure the recipient will be home before submitting an order.
Be sure to inspect your package upon arrival. We will be glad to refund or replace damaged items within seven (7) days of confirmed delivery.
Also, a lot of times, we actually use a USPS Representative's assistance when mailing a package - this means the USPS person is weighing a package, measuring it, calculating the postage and applying it. If the postal service worker on your end decides to charge more postage, after all the work is done, i.e. the package shipped, we are happy to provide copies of the receipts and support your argument on any additional postage, someone may try to charge you. Our advice, don't pay cash, get a receipt and send us the details so we can discuss with our postmaster here at our post office.
