Authentic Keffiyeh Fabric Hair Bow on Small Clips
Add a touch of elegance and meaning to special occasions or every day with our authentic keffiyeh hair bow.
These stylish hair bow clips are crafted from genuine keffiyeh fabric, featuring a classic black and white pattern. It includes a layer of interfacing for added structure and slipped onto small hair clips.
The hair bow is approximately 2 inches long by 1 - 1.5 inches wide. These are not intended for children under 18 months.
Handmade with care in-house at The Bedouin Company in the USA from fabric sourced from Jordan, this bow tie blends durability and comfort with its polyester and cotton material.
The keffiyeh itself has a rich history dating back to the Sumerians in Mesopotamia (3100 BC), originally worn by priests, rulers, and landowners as a symbol of high rank and honor. Over time, it was adopted by peasants and nomadic Bedouin tribes for protection against the elements.
The traditional design features a central pattern resembling a fishing net, while the wavy border lines symbolize olive leaves—an enduring emblem of peace. The black and white color scheme represents Palestinian heritage, while the white and red variation honors Jordanian colors.
